Job summary

Southern A&E, LLC, a leading designer of educational, commercial, and athletic facilities, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Designer in Austell, GA. You will work in a multi-discipline environment under the supervision of a P.E.

for registration purposes. Responsibilities include meeting with clients to establish project requirements, designing and analyzing HVAC systems, and ensuring compliance with local and national codes and company standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–4 years HVAC design experience.
• Revit proficiency.
• EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

Southern A&E, LLC, a leading designer of educational, commercial, and athletic facilities, is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Designer.This position offers the opportunity to work in a multi-discipline environment and under the direct supervision of a P.E. for registration purposes.

The primary duties will include meeting with clients' representatives to establish project requirements and preferences, designing and analyzing HVAC systems, and verifying that designs meet local and national codes and are in compliance with company standards.The designer will conduct predesign site visits to survey existing conditions, prepare preliminary drawings and obtain necessary approvals.They will develop contract documents (calculations, design drawings, schematics, and details) for construction and will review submittals to verify conformance with those documents.As the designer's experience level grows, they will conduct site observations to verify conformance with contract documents and building codes.Additional duties may include the design of plumbing and fire safety systems.

Qualified Candidates will have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, 2-4 years of HVAC design experience, Revit proficiency, EIT (preferred), and possess excellent communication skills.Southern A&E will not be sponsoring any employment visas for this position.
