Job summary

McKenney's is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (P.E.) to join our team in Atlanta. The role focuses on designing and developing commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, interfacing with clients, and leading the design process for turnkey projects.

You will perform load calculations, energy simulations, equipment selections, and provide technical guidance to RevvIt designers and engineers while coordinating with architects and other trades. A P.E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical Engineering).
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• 7+ years of experience in the commercial/industrial HVAC field.
• 7+ years of experience in design and development of mechanical and plumbing layouts or project management for these systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and maintain engineering scope for projects.
• Perform and review detailed load calculations using Trane Trace 700, Trace 3D Plus; interpret results.
• Coordinate mechanical requirements with architects and other engineers.
• Review and produce specifications and sequences of operation.
• Identify and meet commitments to owners, general contractors, and internal teams.
• Assist in managing corporate clients such as architects and developers.
