Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join our growing team and learn firsthand from top HVAC teams.

You will service and maintain heavy commercial and industrial equipment, solving comfort and efficiency issues along the way. The position includes factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA) and competitive pay with benefits provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Adherence to Safety Program.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters (Bargaining Unit Position).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations and drive results, mentored by peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Respond to basic warranty calls.
• Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility runs efficiently.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
