Ferguson is hiring a knowledgeable, results-driven Counter Sales Associate in Baton Rouge, LA. You will be a trusted advisor to plumbing and HVAC contractor customers, leveraging product expertise to help customers make informed purchasing decisions aligned with our sales strategy.

The ideal candidate will have passion for building relationships, driving sales, and delivering exceptional service, with 0–3 years in customer service or sales and 1+ year HVAC knowledge.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in customer service or sales preferred
• 1+ years of HVAC product knowledge required
• Strong communication skills for consultative selling and customer engagement

Responsibilities

• Engage customers proactively at the counter, on the phone, and via email to understand their needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert by continuously learning and applying knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and related products to guide customer decisions.
