Job summary

Watsco in California seeks a Counter Sales Driver to manage the sales counter and coordinate loads, deliveries, and dispatches of HVAC freight. The role centers on delivering strong customer service while procuring, processing, and dispatching products to customers.

You will interact with internal and outside sales staff, vendors and contractors; assist with showroom merchandising, order processing, and up-selling; load and unload at the regional distribution center; and maintain daily truck

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in HVAC.
• 24 months of verifiable experience driving a 16' minimum box truck.
• Clean driving record: no more than one moving violation in any year.
• DOT physical examination passing ability.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proven success in sales and customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Interact with internal and outside sales people, vendors and contractors.
• Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product.
• Assist in resolving customer relations problems with dealers and end users.
• Complete sales order process and up-sell items.
• Load and unload products for delivery in assigned region.
• Collect invoices and return to Sales Center Manager.
• Assist in Warehouse with inventory counts, order picking, and verification.
• Maintain daily truck maintenance checklist and report merchandiser returns.
• Adhere to safety requirements and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
