Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician to support the Oak Ridge federal sites and national laboratories. The role covers preventive maintenance, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Metasys-based control systems across chiller and boiler plants.

The ideal candidate has experience with commercial HVAC controls, building automation systems, and knowledge of DDC/Metasys. A security clearance is required or obtainable, with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC equipment, controls or building automation systems.
Knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems and HVAC controls.
Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearances.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, point-to-point checkouts, troubleshooting and/or replacement of HVAC controls systems & equipment, and building control systems
Diagnose and repair a variety of electronic and digital control system malfunctions
Test and perform modifications to systems software when needed
Provide training and associated manuals and documentation to customers on electronic control systems operations
Ensure work performed complies with company, state, local and federal regulations, industry standards and guidelines, and customer requirements
