Job summary

Envelop Critical Environments (ECE) is seeking a Controls Technician to install, start-up, and service HVAC control systems in critical spaces. You will program, test, commission, and document control systems using DDC platforms and build automation tools.

The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC systems, IT networking, and safety standards, with the ability to communicate with customers and engineers on-site. A hands-on problem-solver who can work with minimal supervision is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required; technical or related degree preferred.
  • 2+ years experience with temperature control, HVAC, DDC controls, and wiring.
  • Experience installing/servicing electronic controls and HVAC equipment.
  • Strong understanding of testing, validation and troubleshooting of complex control systems.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work with customers and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Install and program HVAC control systems per project specs and standards.
  • Test, commission, and validate system performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve discrepancies during installation.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards on all sites.
  • Provide customer training and complete project closeout documentation.
