Job summary

HTS Engineering Ltd. is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building automation systems at customer facilities in the Cambridge, MA area.

The role includes service and preventative maintenance on assigned contracts, reporting progress to management and customers, and learning new controls platforms as instructed. The ideal candidate has 1–5 years in building automation, familiarity with LON/BACnet/Modbus, and experience with major brands.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of work experience in building automation or relevant field.
• Knowledge of building automation systems.
• Experience with LON, BACnet and Modbus communications.
• Understanding of sequences of operations for boilers, chillers, AHUs and related equipment.
• Experience with multiple control brands (Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, JCI, Alerton, Distech, Siemens, Schneider, Delta, Schneider).
• Strong organizational and communication skills and solid computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC Controls at customer facilities.
• Service and preventative maintenance on assigned contracts.
• Inform management and customer of progress and issues.
• Research and learn various controls systems as instructed.
• Coordinate with third-party contractors when needed.
• Adhere to company safety policies and complete timecards/trip reports on time.
