Job summary

Jobot in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial BAS/BMS and HVAC controls projects from kickoff through installation, startup, commissioning, and turnover. This role requires coordinating customers, contractors, field technicians, programmers, and internal teams to keep projects organized and profitable.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in building automation or HVAC controls, strong reading of mechanical and electrical drawings, and proven ability to manage

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building automation/HVAC controls or related construction.
• Experience managing BAS/BMS projects preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schedules.
• Strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage BAS/BMS and HVAC projects from kickoff through completion.
• Coordinate technicians, electricians, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, general contractors, mechanical contractors, and stakeholders.
• Review plans, specifications, controls drawings, submittals, and construction schedules.
• Coordinate field installation, controls programming, startup, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Track budgets, labor hours, costs, purchasing, change orders, and overall financial performance.
• Conduct jobsite visits and participate in meetings.
• Identify project risks and resolve field issues to keep on schedule.
• Maintain clear communication between field teams, engineering, programming, and customers.
• Ensure completed projects meet quality expectations and contractual requirements.
