Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Controls Project Manager for HVAC to lead on-site control systems projects from planning through closeout. You will coordinate design, programming, installation, commissioning, and closeout while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree with field HVAC experience and strong communication skills to manage customers and subcontractors, while monitoring costs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Technical associate degree with four years of field experience in HVAC/building automation.
• Hands-on experience in system design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls and ability to lead projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain technical material.
• Proficient in Windows and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned control systems projects from planning to closeout.
• Coordinate hardware design, system programming, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Provide direction to subcontractors and technicians.
• Manage project financial results including costs, billings, collections, profitability, and cash flow.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and pursue change orders when scope changes occur.
