Job summary

AAON is seeking a Product Manager II - Controls to own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of connected controls and cloud-enabled platforms within AAON’s HVAC portfolio. You will work with customers and cross-functional teams to translate needs into defined solutions, manage product initiatives from discovery to launch, and drive ongoing improvements across hardware, software, and cloud services.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, product management, business, or a related technical field.
Experience in HVAC, building automation, industrial controls, IoT, SaaS, or cloud platforms.
Product management or ownership experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities

Maintain portions of the product roadmap with leadership.
Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear requirements and priorities.
Coordinate cross-functional work with engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, and marketing teams.
Research customer problems, market trends, and competitive offerings.
Develop requirements for onboarding, connectivity, telemetry, dashboards, APIs, and data access.
Address security, interoperability, manufacturability, and platform considerations with engineering.
Monitor regulatory developments, cybersecurity expectations, and industry standards.
Support commercialization activities, including pricing, launch readiness, and sales enablement.
Track product metrics such as adoption, uptime, and profitability.
