Job summary

Johnson Controls in the Milwaukee area is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to support North American channel partners and field sales in Building Automation Systems, delivering technical support, product selection, and order processing to create outstanding customer experiences.

You will build relationships, lead presentations, use Salesforce, and collaborate across functions to move opportunities forward, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; an Engineering degree is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including virtual and in-person presentation skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, as well as internet software and email.
• Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Located in Glendale, WI, or able to work from the greater Milwaukee area office location.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support North American channel partners and field sales in Building Automation Systems.
• Provide technical support, product selection assistance, and order processing support.
• Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customer accounts to support growth.
• Establish weekly cadence with channel partners and follow-up.
• Respond to customer issues related to order management, pricing, and product application.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Customer Service, Commercial Operations, and Product Management to move opportunities forward.
• Lead product and program presentations for existing and prospective customers.
• Record sales activities in Salesforce and use data to inform decisions.
• Support adoption of the online ordering portal through live demonstrations and feedback.
