Job summary

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Physical Plant Department is seeking an HVAC/Control Technician Foreman to supervise the Energy Management Systems crew and oversee HVAC operations for the facility.

You will directly supervise HVAC personnel including Master and Refrigeration Mechanics, perform maintenance ranging from minor to major repairs, and coordinate replacements and preventive tasks to keep systems reliable.

Qualifications

• Two years of required on-the-job experience in HVAC controls.
• Four years of experience or training in installation/maintenance of pneumatic, electrical, or electronic control systems for heating (including boiler), ventilating, or air conditioning systems.
• Experience supervising a crew is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Energy Management Systems crew and HVAC operations.
• Provide direct supervision to subordinate HVAC personnel.
• Manage maintenance tasks including minor/major repairs and equipment replacements; preventative maintenance.
