Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based service technician to commission, program, and service on-site projects at customer locations. You will document operations, verify sequences, and ensure customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate with team leaders, stay current on Trane products, and uphold safety standards, with opportunities for overtime and occasional overnight stays. Valid driver’s license and BAS experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically at least 5-7 years in HVAC/Controls.
• Technical School or formal training preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computer.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, programming, setting up graphics, communications link, end to end testing, troubleshooting and servicing on assigned projects.
• Documenting point to point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close out requirements.
• Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and services on site to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Keeps current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of DDC systems.
• Enforces safety standards and maintains accountability of company assets; flexible for overtime and overnight stays.
