Job summary

Jobot is seeking a HVAC Controls Engineer/Project Manager in NYC to lead BAS/controls projects with multi-building scope. You will manage integration, optimization, and full system replacements, including project financials, administration, and customer satisfaction.

You will mentor team members and serve as a subject matter expert on HVAC controls. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least 4 years in HVAC/controls, with BACnet/Modbus/NIagara experience and DDC programming

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME, CE, Math or Physics or equivalent experience.
• Strong interest in building automation and controls.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the HVAC/controls industry.
• BACnet, Modbus, Niagara experience required.
• DDC controller programming and third-party device integration with BACnet/Modbus.
• Experience with mechanical system operation; understanding of construction processes.
• Strong communication, negotiating and organizational skills.
• Competency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Automated Logic WebCTRL experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom energy reporting, power metering, trending, and billing programs.
• Produce drawings, sequences of operation, and bills of material for BAS projects.
• Develop BMS software databases (programming and graphics) per documents and specs.
• Design, integrate and support network migration for BACnet/Modbus platforms.
• Maintain accurate As-Built drawings and update in AutoCAD/Visio/Excel/Word on site as needed.
• Visit field to adjust design sequences and support commissioning activities.
