Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking an HVAC Engineer to support a large-scale construction project in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This is a 3-year prison-construction program with multiple buildings and coordination across contractors.

The role features 50% field troubleshooting & commissioning and 50% engineering coordination & follow-up, onsite Monday through Friday. Candidates should have HVAC/controls/commissioning experience and strong collaboration skills to work with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform field troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, and system validation activities for HVAC and building automation systems
• Support HVAC controls systems and coordinate resolutions for technical issues
• Collaborate with subcontractors, project managers, owners, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
• Review system performance and assist with commissioning efforts
• Track action items, manage follow-up activities, and provide engineering support throughout project execution
• Utilize testing equipment, including volt meters and multimeters, to diagnose and resolve system issues
• Support installation verification and ensure systems are operating according to design specifications

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, and system validation activities for HVAC and building automation systems
• Support HVAC controls systems and coordinate resolutions for technical issues
• Collaborate with subcontractors, project managers, owners, and other stakeholders to ensure project success

Pay: $44.41 hourly
