Job summary

Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Technician to maintain, repair and install HVAC and BAS systems across campus. You will read and modify BAS sequences, monitor building automation, and support energy-saving initiatives while responding to emergencies.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in HVAC operations/maintenance with direct experience in DDC controls and energy management software; EPA certification and NH license preferred; on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in commercial/residential HVAC operations and maintenance.
• Experience with BAS/controls and energy management programs.
• Experience with building automation controls similar to Academy systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, write and modify BAS Sequence of Operations code.
• Perform daily system checks of BAS software and controls.
• Monitor and control HVAC equipment and BAS network.
• Implement energy-saving practices on campus and troubleshoot using BAS.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems.
• Inspect and test digital, electrical, mechanical, and electronic control equipment.
• Respond to urgent mechanical system repair issues and emergencies.
• Maintain safe working conditions and wear PPE as appropriate.
• On-call for HVAC or plumbing emergencies.
