Job summary

AIR Carolinas is seeking a Controls Application Engineer to design software for HVAC system controls and provide technical expertise for internal and external customers in Charlotte, NC. The role may supervise the Controls Team to maximize unit performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications include a 2- or 4-year degree, 5+ years in leadership, and experience with Tridium/Niagara, CPT, Reliable, and KMC. Travel and a valid in-state license are required.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited institution (2- or 4-year) required.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
• Programming knowledge with Tridium/Niagara, CPT, Reliable, or KMC is a plus.
• Configuration knowledge of AAON controllers is a plus.
• Valid in-state driver's license; travel with overnight stays required.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from customers and designs software for controls that match their needs.
• Ensures the program continues to work properly; recommends future testing, upgrades and maintenance.
• Troubleshoots issues via cradle point connections.
• Coordinates with leadership to improve productivity, expand markets, and promote business.
• Works with the Project Manager on scheduling, invoicing and billing issues.
• Provides technicians with assistance on difficult tasks.
• Attends meetings to exchange product information and coordinate work across departments.
• Coordinates safety training and professional development for the team.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
