Job summary

Trane Technologies, a world leader in climate solutions, is hiring an HVAC Controls Project Engineer to design building automation hardware and software. This role supports project teams, crafts cost-effective control solutions, and assists the Project Manager.

Candidates will preferably be based in Charlotte, NC but may be based in Greenville, SC or West Columbia, SC, with options for onsite and flexible location days.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or 3+ years experience in HVAC/project management
• Experience with drafting/design programs required
• Familiarity with HVAC/building automation concepts and IT basics
• Windows OS and MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Design building automation hardware and software for projects
• Review contracts, drawings, specs for automation design
• Create installation and as-built drawings
• Develop sequences of operations meeting project needs
• Prepare cost estimates and support field wiring/commissioning
• Guide other engineers and ensure customer satisfaction
