A growing commercial mechanical and HVAC contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from planning through completion. This role offers ownership of project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships, with career growth opportunities as the organization expands.
The position combines work from the Davie office with frequent travel to job sites throughout South Florida. Mechanical or HVAC experience is preferred; candidates with strong commercial construction project management experience are encouraged to apply.
Manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and resources from planning through completion.
Coordinate architects, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
Track project costs, procurement, and financial performance; address potential budget impacts.
Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to keep execution aligned with project requirements.
Conduct site visits and resolve issues affecting safety, quality, compliance, or deadlines.
Maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress updates while serving as a key client contact.
7+ years of relevant construction experience with proven success managing commercial projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Direct experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractors.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Strong client and team coordination skills, effective risk management, and availability to work from Davie with frequent South Florida site travel.
Mechanical, HVAC, or specialty construction experience.
PMP or another relevant project management certification.
Advanced proficiency with project management and scheduling software.
Car allowance or company vehicle with a gas card.
