Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Climate Solutions Tech (Service Tech I) in the Power/HVAC division in Knoxville, TN to install HVAC and related equipment at customer sites and perform minor repairs in a safe, professional manner.

The role involves operating a delivery vehicle, installing HVAC and dehumidification/air purification gear, and providing exceptional customer service. On-call rotation and potential for advancement are core parts of the job.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Basic knowledge of repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common tools used in the position are important.
Excellent customer service, teamwork and clear communication are essential.
A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. frequently and be willing to participate in an on‑call rotation for 24/7 emergency service.

Responsibilities

Perform minor repairs and maintenance checks on equipment and assist with cleaning.
Report equipment condition before and after usage.
Demonstrate equipment to customers.
Assist with loading and unloading of equipment.
Handle other duties as assigned as needed.
