Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Specialist II located at Fulton County Jail, Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on servicing HVAC systems, building maintenance and related tasks within a specialized environment.

Qualifications

• Requires two year technical degree or two years experience in O&M, or apprenticeship completion.
• Five or more years of operations and maintenance experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance fundamentals to service and repair systems.
• Capable of climbing ladders, working in confined spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must pass a background check and interview; EPA Refrigeration Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain HVAC systems within established parameters.
• Perform general maintenance, custodial tasks, and basic facility repairs.
• Provide direction and training to junior O&M specialists.
• Plan materials for service and preventive maintenance work.
• Work from drawings and blueprints using common tools and equipment.
• Requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures in all tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotation for facility emergencies.
• Follow company policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as required.
