Job summary

The University of North Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Building Utilities Operator to inspect, maintain, and repair building mechanical systems including pumps, valves, chillers and HVAC equipment. You will operate the building automation system to sustain comfort and safety.

This on-site role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of experience; shifts run Tue–Sat, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, as part of HSC-Campus Operations within Facilities Management Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and one year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repairs to building mechanical systems, i.e. pumps, valves, etc.
• Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repairs to HVAC systems and related equipment. i.e. air handling units, filters, cooling towers.
• Maintain comfort levels in a building environment through the computerized building automation system.
• Startup/shut down major building equipment. i.e. Chillers, Pumps, Cooling Towers.
• Perform minor plumbing and general building maintenance duties as required.
• Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the Department.
