Job summary

Building Controls & Services Inc. in Lenexa, KS seeks a Controls Service Technician II/III to perform startup, checkout, and troubleshooting for installed HVAC control systems within our projects and service work.

The role includes service‑agreement tasks, on‑call support, and collaboration with field teams. Applicants should have strong electrical/construction knowledge, experience with BACnet/IP, and the ability to read design documents.

Qualifications

• Experience installing or servicing electronic control systems; 6+ years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC and electrical concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret design/construction documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PC/software skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, checkout, and troubleshooting for control systems.
• Install and service electronic control or HVAC equipment.
• Document progress, update project manager and customers as needed.
• Provide technical assistance and customer training when required.
• On-call rotation and travel within Kansas/Midwest.
