Job summary

Harmony Public Schools in Houston is seeking a Technician-HVAC & BAS to coordinate and support district-wide HVAC operations through installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, and optimization of HVAC and building automation systems.

The role focuses on energy management and commissioning for projects, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. A high school diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC/BAS are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in commercial HVAC/BAS (preferred).
• TDLR registration (preferred).
• Trane Tracer Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serves as district technical for HVAC, BAS, controls, and energy management.
• Installs, inspects, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC equipment and BAS components.
• Programs, configures, monitors, and optimizes BAS controllers and networks.
• Supports district-wide HVAC operations, energy management initiatives, and operational efficiency programs.
• Reviews HVAC control sequences, controls programming, equipment selections, and construction documents for district standards.
• Assists with HVAC and BAS commissioning activities for new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects.
• Maintains accurate service records, maintenance logs, BAS documentation, and equipment histories.
• Coordinates with licensed and insured contractors on HVAC and BAS projects.
