Job summary

Ohio Cat in Oakwood Village, OH seeks mechanically minded individuals to assemble portable HVAC equipment, inspect, assist with repairs, and prepare gear for customers. Training is provided and a strong emphasis on reliability, teamwork, and honest work drives the team.

The role operates on a 7:30am–4:00pm schedule, with indoor/outdoor work in various weather. Prior experience is not required, but basic mechanical and technical aptitude is helpful for success in this production setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical training in related field preferred.
• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Mechanical aptitude or general technical service skills required.
• Basic plumbing and pipe-fitting knowledge a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical system principles.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machine components (pipes, electrical connections, mechanical fasteners, etc.).
• Safely load and unload HVAC equipment to/from trucks and trailers.
• Perform touch-up painting and sheet metal fabrication/modification.
• Operate forklifts to move and organize materials indoors and outdoors.
• Wash and inspect returned equipment, reporting any damage.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
