Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• 1+ years of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers professionally.
• Leadership to support Mechanics on non-complex HVAC jobs.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy to build skills and advancement opportunities.
• Through coaching and mentorship, develop skills to troubleshoot technical issues and customer needs.
• Keep JCI, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues as needed.
• Meet attendance requirements for required Union training in the first year.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility runs efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations.
