The ideal candidate brings current industry knowledge and practical experience to the classroom, helping students develop technical skills for HVAC careers. Responsibilities include instruction, hands-on training, safe inclusive environment, progress assessment, and collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• Five years of HVAC industry experience required.
• EPA 608 certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Hands-on HVAC installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate industry knowledge to classroom instruction.
• Commitment to inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction aligned with course objectives and industry standards.
• Provide hands-on training related to HVAC systems, installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Create and maintain an inclusive, safe, and productive classroom environment.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
• Incorporate current industry technology, practices, and tools into instruction.
• Collaborate with academic team members and support staff to facilitate student success.
• Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represent WSU Tech at relevant community and recruitment events, as needed.
