Job summary

WSU Tech is seeking an experienced Adjunct Faculty member for the HVAC program to deliver course content and hands-on training in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

The ideal candidate brings current industry knowledge and practical experience to the classroom, helping students develop the technical skills needed for HVAC careers while working evening hours at City Center Campus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years HVAC industry experience.
  • EPA 608 certification required or obtainable within 6 months of hire.
  • Technical certificate or higher in HVAC or related field preferred.
  • Experience teaching or training not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage students.
  • Ability to integrate current industry practices and technology.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging instruction aligned with objectives and industry standards.
  • Provide hands-on HVAC training: installation, troubleshooting, repair.
  • Maintain an inclusive, safe, productive classroom.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback.
  • Maintain attendance and performance records.
  • Incorporate current industry technology and tools into instruction.
  • Collaborate with academic team and support staff.
  • Participate in program evaluation and improvement initiatives.
  • Represent WSU Tech at community and recruitment events.
