Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Utility Development Project Engineer to support planning and execution of utility infrastructure for data center campuses. You will collaborate with energy leaders, pre-development teams, and operations to plan power delivery and sequencing for new builds.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years in HV construction management, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of medium/high voltage construction management.
• 2+ years leading projects or related professional experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel for budgets.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support the Utility Delivery team with reporting, data collection, and deliverables.
• Manage and organize documentation for utility development projects.
• Support project schedules and report milestones for utility projects.
• Support budgets and cost forecasting for utility projects, including construction and equipment.
• Track and report on power delivery timelines and schedule.
• Participate in procurement and project cost estimates.
• Review monthly pay applications from contractors and change orders.
