Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager with substation expertise to lead high voltage power delivery substation projects.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams from initiation through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met and client satisfaction remains high. In this role, you will drive planning, scheduling, and risk management while coordinating with design teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant project experience including heavy industrial construction and HV substations.
• PMP preferred, but not required.
• Experience leading engineering/design projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional planning/engineering/construction teams in HV substation projects.
• Develop and manage project planning documents (Project Execution Plans, Project Initiation Documentation, Communication Plans, RFI logs).
• Drive accountability to scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate design and construction activities with internal teams and clients.
• Participate in client meetings and substation site visits while adhering to safety requirements.
