Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Substation P&C Designer to lead a design team through high and extra-high voltage projects, applying AutoCAD and MicroStation expertise.

The role involves mentoring staff across disciplines and delivering on design objectives. You will develop, review, and modify AC/DC schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials while ensuring alignment with budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-discipline design teams on substations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation for design deliverables.
• Ability to manage tasks within budget and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct multi-discipline design team on projects across departments.
• Develop and check AC Schematics, DC Schematics, Panel Layouts, Wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials.
• Perform self-checks before checker review to ensure accuracy and schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers on high/extra-high voltage substations.
