Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager for HV/BESS to plan, manage and deliver commissioning across 2-3 concurrent projects, from planning through energization and turnover.

The role requires leadership in readiness, coordination with customers, utilities, OEMs, and commissioning partners; strong project management, safety, and documentation practice; hybrid site presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commissioning, startup, testing, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities.
• Experience coordinating HV substation or BESS commissioning across multiple projects.
• Strong documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the HV or BESS commissioning scope across typically 2-3 concurrent projects, including deliverables, milestones, schedule, resources, risks, constraints, documentation, and turnover.
• Develop and maintain a commissioning execution plan, milestone and deliverables register, responsibility assignments, readiness criteria, schedule activities, and resource forecast.
• Translate contract requirements, technical specifications, interconnection requirements, permit conditions, OEM requirements, and company standards into an executable commissioning scope and work plan.
• Establish priorities and make day-to-day project decisions within the assigned scope; escalate safety, contractual, technical, schedule, or resource issues as needed.
• Track progress, productivity, forecasted completion, constraints, and corrective actions; provide accurate daily and weekly reporting to commissioning and project leadership.
• Lead readiness reviews and verify completion of safety prerequisites before testing or energization proceeds.
