Job summary

ACT Power Services, LLC is seeking a skilled High Voltage/Medium Voltage Technician to install, maintain, test, and repair HV/MV electrical equipment for solar facilities. The role is hybrid and primarily field-based, with travel to customer sites.

OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E safety standards apply, and candidates should be prepared for on-call and weekend work as needed. Qualified applicants have 3–5+ years in HV/MV work, a strong grounding in electrical theory, and experience using test equipment

Qualifications

• HV/MV electrical systems experience and knowledge of protection schemes.
• Experience with testing transformers, switchgear, breakers and relays.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel up to ~40%.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance and repair of HV/MV systems (typically 5kV–35kV+).
• Conduct electrical testing of transformers, switchgear, breakers and relays.
• Perform cable splicing and terminations per standards.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and test results.
• Assist energizing new or repaired systems following safety protocols.
• Comply with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E and company safety standards.
• Support upgrades, outages and emergency repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet specs and timelines.
