Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer to advance EMC for our growing EV platforms, including HV systems, power conversion, and harness integration. The role emphasizes design guidance, modeling, and validation across vehicle electronics, with cross-domain coordination to Energy Storage and Power Conversion teams.

The Staff level EMC High Voltage Lead will collaborate with hardware, EMC, and energy teams to ensure EMI control, robust packaging, and reliable integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or similar, plus 5+ years of work experience.
• Master’s degree plus 3+ years; PhD plus 1+ year.
• Strong fundamentals in analog circuits, RLC, transmission lines, switch-mode power supplies.
• Hands-on debugging skills and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead EMC integration of high voltage power conversion across product types.
• Develop and validate electromagnetic models for vehicle systems.
• Test ECU and vehicle designs in EMC labs.
• Define EMI source/victim interactions for integration and wiring harness design.
