Job summary

Rising Edge Group in Denver, CO is seeking a Purchaser to support procurement for projects, materials, tools, and services. You will ensure the right items are sourced with attention to risk and commercial alignment, reporting to the Procurement Manager.

As part of the role you will develop procurement plans, manage vendor relationships, and lead weekly procurement meetings while mentoring junior staff. A pre-employment screen is required for employment consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Construction Project Management, or equivalent.
• 2 years purchasing experience or 4 years related purchasing experience in construction, utilities, or industrial.
• Accreditations such as SCMP, PMP, CPIM, CSCP preferred.
• Strong HV/MV electrical equipment knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in sourcing, negotiations, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Support and standardize procurement processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Develop procurement plans based on project schedules, risks, and requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and manage vendors and subcontractors throughout the full procurement cycle.
• Review procurement activities, identify risks, and support cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Manage purchase orders, subcontract agreements, approvals, documentation, and records.
• Ensure commercial risks and prime contract requirements are incorporated into vendor/subcontractor terms.
• Participate in contract reviews, project kickoffs, and project meetings to understand requirements.
• Lead weekly procurement meetings for active projects.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and support supplier management initiatives.
• Support junior team members and identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency.
