Job summary

Saber Power Services is seeking an experienced Technician – Circuit Breaker to inspect, repair, maintain, test, and refurbish medium- and high-voltage circuit breakers. The role is primarily in the breaker shop with supporting field work.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, reads electrical drawings, and follows safety and NFPA 70E standards. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with electrical equipment, circuit breakers, or switchgear preferred.
• Electrical, industrial maintenance, or electrical testing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment preferred.
• NETA certification or electrical trade certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble medium- and high-voltage circuit breakers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on circuit breakers and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
• Document inspection findings, repairs, test results, and equipment conditions accurately.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, NETA standards, company procedures, and customer requirements.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and preparing electrical equipment for shipment or field installation.
• Work with supervisors and other technicians to meet project schedules and quality requirements.
• Support field service activities and travel to customer sites when required.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA and NFPA 70E requirements.
