Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp is seeking a Senior HV/BESS Estimation Manager to lead a team of estimators for utility-scale solar + BESS EPC projects. You will develop detailed cost estimates for HV substations, review bids, and collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement to optimize profitability.

This remote, full-time role requires 8+ years in estimating, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency with estimation tools (HCSS HeavyBid, Smartsheet, Procore).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of estimating experience for utility-scale solar/HV/BESS preferred.
• Experience in EPC contracting and cost control for HV substations and BESS projects.
• Proficiency with cost estimation software and tools (HCSS HeavyBid, Smartsheet, Procore).
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to work remotely in a home office.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of estimators and mentor staff.
• Develop and manage cost models and take-offs for HV substation and BESS projects.
• Review subcontractor bids and quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals in response to RFPs/ITBs.
• Coordinate with PM, engineering, and procurement to optimize estimates and margins.
