Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a High Voltage Field Service Engineer in the United States to perform installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of high voltage equipment up to 800 kV. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable operation and project success.

Applicants should have 5+ years in technical field service, a trades background or engineering degree being advantageous, and the ability to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in technical field service work.
• Hands-on experience with high voltage equipment up to 800 kV.
• Trade education in Industrial Mechanic or Electrical trades.
• College or university degree in a technical field (electrical or mechanical engineering) is an asset.
• Valid US driver’s license and ability to travel extensively (80%).
• Work authorization to perform duties for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex field service operations with minimal guidance.
• Install, maintain, and repair high voltage equipment up to 800 kV.
• Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues and resolve problems independently.
• Lead field service projects and coordinate crews.
• Identify potential sales and business opportunities during field work.
• Develop improvements to enhance operations and customer service.
