Lifesteps, a non-profit, human services agency based in Butler, PA, is currently hiring a Human Services Program Director to oversee Residential Client Homes in the Greensburg, Delmont, and Lower Burrell areas. This position will supervise four to five (4-5) Community Homes providing direct care services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As a key leadership role, the Program Director ensures high-quality care and respectful treatment for participants with special needs. The role advocates for IDD individuals, supporting person-centered care and positive outcomes. The Community Homes Director will develop and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs), Social/Emotional/Environmental Plans, Behavior Plans, and Restrictive Plans.
Program Directors oversee frontline Supervisors and some direct care staff, conduct performance reviews, handle disciplinary actions, create work schedules, assist in staff training, report monthly metrics, and participate in the Agency Communication Team.
This full-time role works Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
Preferred majors include: Human Services, Special Education, Psychology, Family Relations, Health Administration, Social Services, Counseling, Sociology, or similar. Any major is acceptable.
Requirements include a valid Driver’s License, ability to lift up to 40 lbs., acceptable background clearances, and the ability to become a PA Certified Investigator and obtain Medication Administration Certification within 6 months (training provided).
