A leading community college in North Carolina seeks a Director of Allied Health Programs responsible for non-credit courses and certification classes for healthcare professionals. The role involves program administration, instructor management, and collaboration with health organizations. Candidates must possess an Associate Degree in Nursing and have substantial RN experience.
The Director of Allied Health Programs is responsible for the administration and support of the College’s non-credit Allied Health programs. These include certification classes and continuing education for medical professionals, as well as classes for individuals pursuing nurse aide or phlebotomist registration, and specialty courses for healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities include teaching, hiring, training, and assisting instructors; maintaining relationships with NC Department of Health and Human Services and NC Board of Nursing; managing program development and maintenance; recruiting students; supervising adjunct instructors; managing course schedules and records; overseeing textbook procurement; participating in professional development; leading program planning; engaging with external advisory committees; coordinating advising; managing budgets; conducting internal audits; attending relevant meetings; keeping curriculum current; participating in college committees; providing feedback on student success; and performing additional duties as assigned.
