Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Human Services Analyst to review, interpret, and analyze Medical Assistance policies to support statewide program operations, while coordinating with staff and stakeholders.

You will prepare reports, briefing materials, and policy documents, participate in meetings, and conduct research to develop program materials and procedures. The position offers telework options and a standard work schedule.

Qualifications

• One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor’s degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing Medical Assistance policies to support statewide program operations. It also involves coordinating activities, preparing documents, and providing guidance to staff. As a Human Services Analyst, you will perform the following duties:

• Policy Review: Examine statewide Medical Assistance policies and determine compliance with federal and state requirements
• Program Analysis: Evaluate Medical Assistance programs and recommend improvements to support operational goals
• Document Preparation: Develop reports, briefing materials, and policy documents for internal and external review
• Stakeholder Coordination: Participate in meetings and presentations to maintain productive working relationships
• Research Activities: Gather and assess information used for the development of program materials and procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week in office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

QUALIFICATIONS
