*NOTE* This is a 3rd shift position with typical hours from 12 AM-6 AM.

Our client is seeking a 3rd shift HR Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations (12 AM-6 AM) within the Human Resources department, with a focus on employee relations, salaried recruitment, and supervisory training and coaching. This role ensures the consistent application of company policies and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The HR Supervisor serves as a key partner to management, offering guidance on performance management, employee development, and HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring adherence to internal policies and legal requirements.
  • Advise managers on employee relations issues, including corrective actions, performance management, and compliance concerns.
  • Assist with drafting performance documentation and participate in disciplinary meetings and follow-up.
  • Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures to employees and supervisors.
  • Manage the full lifecycle recruitment process for salaried positions (exempt and non-exempt), including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and provide an overview of company policies and benefits.
  • Identify training needs related to performance issues and career development; recommend and deliver HR-related training sessions.
  • Investigate employee concerns and complaints, and assist in resolution as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare required reports (e.g., retention, CERP, etc.).
  • Administer the NOCTI program, including testing, results, promotions, and pay adjustments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Mentor, coach, and cross-train HR team members to support development and operational coverage.
  • Promote and follow all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE in designated areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible HR experience with a focus on employee relations, employment, and/or benefits.
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience, including supervision, conflict resolution, and adherence to timekeeping and policy standards; direct supervisory experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; multilingual capabilities a plus.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with tact, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Workday or other HCM systems preferred.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical & Safety Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours (including weekends or holidays) as needed.
  • Follow all safety policies and wear appropriate protective equipment in required areas.
