Iredell Health System is seeking a frontline HR Specialist focused on onboarding, orientation, and contract staff. You will present and maintain an organized process for new team members, apprentices, students, and contract staff, while supporting payroll, badge creation, and orientation classes.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, strong communication, and the ability to manage routine HR tasks in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; Associate degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
• Experience/knowledge with Human Resources functions.
• One year clerical or administrative experience, including customer service experience.
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers and business software.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written to create a positive environment.
• Enjoyment of new tasks and projects along with the autonomy to complete routine processes.
• Understanding of respect and confidentiality related to serving our team members.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation for new team members, apprentices, students and contract staff.
• Maintain an organized onboarding process and ensure accuracy of records.
• Assist with payroll tasks, badge creation, orientation classes and related HR activities.
• Support HR team with day-to-day tasks and member services.

This frontline opportunity serves as a specialist focusing on employee onboarding, orientation, and contract staff. We count on this member of our team to present and maintain an organized process for our new team members, apprentices, students and contract or interim staff.

Additionally, the specialist can assist with payroll, creating badges, orientation classes and other tasks related to caring for our team members.

Requirements

Physical Demands:

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
