Roberts Resorts & Communities seeks an HR Operations Specialist to own key HR processes from onboarding to payroll. You’ll ensure data accuracy, resolve questions, and support leaders across multiple locations.
The role focuses on payroll coordination, benefits support, and timely employee changes, with partnership with the HR Director to address complex issues. A strong eye for detail and customer service mindset are essential.
Roberts Resorts & Communities is a family-owned company that owns and operates manufactured home communities, RV resorts, and cabin communities across the country. As we continue to grow, the work happening behind the scenes in HR becomes even more important.
That’s where this role comes in.
Our HR Operations Specialist helps create the consistency our employees and leaders count on—from a new hire’s first day to payroll, benefits, employee changes, leave administration, and everything in between.
This is an opportunity for someone who likes being the person others can rely on. You’ll have real ownership of recurring HR operations, work closely with our HR Director, and support employees and leaders across a growing, multi-location organization.
This role is about keeping the details right and the work moving.
You’ll be at the center of the day-to-day HR operation, making sure employee information is accurate, deadlines don’t get missed, questions get answered, and important follow-up actually happens.
Some days that means reviewing payroll information and catching something that doesn’t look right. Other days, you may be helping an employee understand a benefit, coordinating leave documentation, processing an employee change, or making sure a new hire is ready for day one.
We’re looking for someone who can confidently handle the day-to-day work while recognizing when something involving leave, compliance, workers’ compensation, or another employee matter needs to be brought to the HR Director.
If you enjoy creating order, solving problems, helping people, and knowing that others trust your work, you’ll find a lot to own here.
You’re someone who notices the details other people miss.
You like being organized, and you don’t need constant reminders to follow through. When you say you’ll handle something, people can trust that it will get done.
You’re also comfortable working with employees. You can answer routine questions clearly and warmly, protect confidential information, and stay composed when an issue requires extra care.
You’ll likely bring 2–4 years of HR experience, ideally in HR operations or a generalist role. Hands‑on experience supporting payroll and benefits will help you get up to speed quickly, as will experience working in an HRIS or payroll platform. Experience with Paylocity is especially helpful.
Exposure to FMLA, other leaves of absence, and workers’ compensation is valuable, as is experience supporting employees across multiple locations or states.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with good judgment. You’re comfortable working independently, resourceful enough to find answers, and confident enough to raise your hand when something needs the HR Director’s attention.
We’re a family-owned company that continues to grow, which means there’s room to grow with us.
You’ll work closely with HR leadership, gain exposure to multiple areas of HR, and have the opportunity to make a noticeable impact on how we support employees across our communities and resorts.
We believe in developing our people, creating internal growth opportunities, and giving team members the chance to take meaningful ownership of their work.
As a full-time team member, you’ll also have access to our company benefits and employee programs.
If you take pride in getting the details right, enjoy helping people, and want to become a trusted part of an HR team where your follow-through genuinely matters, we’d love to meet you.
