Job description

Job Summary

The Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for the analysis and enhancement of the organization's team member benefits programs. This role involves strategic planning, compliance assurance, and providing guidance to ensure the benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational objectives. This position requires analytical ability, attention to detail, confidentiality, and a customer-centered approach.

Essential Functions
  • Compiles and analyzes data including benefit comparisons, participant statistics, enrollment trends, market trends and union proposals.
  • Assists in conducting assessments of current and future vendor relationships to ensure they fit with the organizational strategy.
  • Assists with managing vendor relationships, ensures compliance, and provides valuable insights through data analysis to evaluate and enhance our benefits offerings.
  • Supports the administration of the executive benefits programs for the system.
  • Conducts analysis required for system integrations/mergers/acquisitions/joint ventures.
  • Facilitates the implementation of benefits programs, plans, and initiatives to ensure accuracy, compliance and a positive team member experience.
  • Assists in development, preparation and delivery of team member education, and communication of benefit plan options and resources.
  • Contributes to SBARs and/or executive summaries for SLT consideration on benefit plan design and executive benefit programs.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or related area
  • 5 years of relevant experience with responsibility for benefits analysis, developing/ managing benefit programs including qualified and non-qualified benefits, retirement plans, health and welfare plans (preferably within healthcare).
  • Experience in an organization of comparable size and complexity.
