Job summary

SIH is seeking an HR Representative to provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with payroll processing, delivering high-quality customer service to all employees.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in HR, strong knowledge of employment law, and excellent communication. The candidate will handle benefits enrollment and maintain confidentiality while supporting managers and staff.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of HR and current industry trends.
  • Strong operational understanding of employment law, HR policies, and its impact on employee experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion required in handling highly sensitive, privileged, confidential and/or non-public information in an appropriate manner.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office with an emphasis in Excel and Power-Point.

Responsibilities

  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Serves as a resource to managers, physicians, and staff.
  • Assists and provides direction with the new hire process for managers and new hire candidates.
  • Assists employees with enrollment, termination, claiming of benefits and completing all necessary forms.
  • Provide assistance and research support to HR, manager, and employees on benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning personnel actions, legal issues, terminations, organizational plans, and acquisitions.
  • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy with the HRIS system, consistent enforcement of policies and procedures, and then provides recommendations to Human Resources Leaders.
  • Schedule staff meetings and conferences by reserving facilities at local hotels and/or restaurants.
  • Create new employee personnel files and scan papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assist with or prepare correspondence
