RJ Schinner Co., Inc. is seeking an HR Recruiting Intern to support the Human Resources team with a primary focus on operations recruiting and candidate engagement. This role provides hands-on experience across sourcing, initial phone screens, interview coordination, and communication with applicants.

The internship is at our corporate office in Menomonee Falls, WI and is suitable for a student seeking a part-time or full-time opportunity for the fall semester, depending on availability.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiting efforts for operations positions across the organization.
• Conduct initial phone screens to assess qualifications and fit.
• Review and screen resumes to identify qualified candidates.
• Source candidates through job boards, platforms, and social channels.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain professional communication with candidates throughout the process.
• Document candidate information in the ATS/HRIS and assist HR team as needed.

The HR Recruiting Intern will support the Human Resources department with a primary focus on operations recruiting and candidate engagement. This internship offers hands‑on experience throughout the recruiting process, including sourcing candidates, conducting initial phone screens, coordinating interviews, communicating with applicants, and supporting recruiting initiatives for operations positions.

The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive, and personable individual who enjoys interacting with people and is eager to develop their recruiting and HR skills.

The position is located at our corporate office in Menomonee Falls, WI and is intended for a student seeking a Part‑Time or Full‑Time internship opportunity for the fall semester, depending on the candidate’s availability.

Core Responsibilities

• Support recruiting efforts primarily for operations positions across the organization
• Conduct initial phone screens with candidates to assess qualifications, experience, availability, and overall fit for open positions
• Review and screen resumes to identify qualified candidates
• Source candidates through job boards, recruiting platforms, social media, and other recruiting channels
• Research recruiting sources, trends, and practices within designated markets
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
• Maintain timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process
• Document candidate information and recruiting activity accurately within the applicant tracking system (ATS) and/or HRIS
• Partner with HR team members and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and support recruiting goals
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Seeking a student currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable communicating with candidates by phone and able to build rapport with a diverse range of individuals
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
• Proactive, dependable and self‑motivated with a strong work ethic
• Professional and personable approach when interacting with candidates, hiring managers, and employees
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting software, or Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is a plus, but not required
