Job summary

RJ Schinner Co., Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to manage inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts, and coordinate with the warehouse team to optimize storage and picking processes.

You will help identify discrepancies, implement process improvements with the warehouse manager, and support ongoing SOP updates. The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and a proactive mindset in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of inventory control and SKU management experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and RF / Android scanning devices.
• Strong people skills.
• Ability to perform light to heavy physical tasks; able to lift 50 lbs. safely.
• Comfortable with environmental conditions (heat/cold; noise and dust).
• Comfortable with heights (20’-30’).

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of all in-bound shipments; check supplier counts and report discrepancies.
• Maintain shipping records (returned merchandise, damage, discrepancies, etc.).
• Verify inventory levels via daily system cycle counts vs. physical counts.
• Replenish primary pick locations to capacity.
• Condense product to maximize density and pick efficiency.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Manage and maintain backorder reports; process damages.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Warehouse Inventory Specialist Summary

Full-time | Monday-Friday | 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, hours may fluctuate depending upon workload

Responsible for all aspects of inventory management, ensuring inventory accuracy, researching discrepancies, strategic inventory placement, replenishment, and following up with associates when errors are identified. The specialist will work closely with the warehouse manager on recommending process improvements and updating SOPs accordingly.

Warehouse Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of inventory control and SKU management experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and RF / Android-based scanning devices

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a distribution warehouse
• 1 year of previous stand-up forklift experience
• Eclipse Warehouse Management System experience

Warehouse Inventory Specialist Duties

• Responsible for accuracy of all in-bound shipments. Checks supplier’s counts and reports discrepancies to carrier and supervisor
• Maintains other shipping records such as returned merchandise, damage, discrepancies, etc.
