Job summary

The Staff Pad, in partnership with a reputed hospital in Hamilton, TX, is seeking a reliable Human Resource Assistant to join the HR team. You will provide administrative support to the Human Resources Director and handle bi-weekly payroll processing and related reporting.

You will maintain employee records in Paycom, assist with onboarding, benefits administration, and ensure compliance with company policies. A customer-service mindset and professional communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of college coursework or relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of administrative office experience or equivalent required.
  • Payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, professional assistance to staff and applicants.
  • Process new hire onboarding paperwork and ensure required forms are completed.
  • Enter and maintain employee licenses, certifications, and personnel files in Paycom.
  • Process employee benefits, payroll documentation, and bi‑weekly payroll.
  • Complete quarterly and year‑end payroll reporting.
  • Respond to employee benefits and insurance inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and obtain missing documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate employee orientation, including materials, notifications, logistics, and presentations.
  • Maintain required labor law posters and workplace notices.
  • Attend required orientation and training programs.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, managers, physicians, patients, and applicants.

Job description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed hospital in Hamilton; TX and we are looking for a reliable Human Resource Assistant to join the HR team. In this role you will provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Director and you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll. Additionally you will prepare and submit quarterly payroll reports, year‑end payroll reporting, and maintain payroll records in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM‑CP certification preferred
  • 2+ years of college coursework or relevant experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of administrative office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Human Resources and/or payroll experience preferred
